OUr Purpose

Killian Hill Baptist Church exists for the purpose of scripturally glorifying God, edifying believers, and evangelizing the lost.

KHBC is a Bible-teaching church.

We believe that the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, and sufficient Word of God, and we are committed to accurate, clear, and practical Bible teaching. 2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Timothy 4:1-4, Colossians 3:16.

KHBC is a Gospel-centered church.

We believe that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the only hope for sinners. We unite around the Gospel, not preferences or secondary issues. Romans 1:16, Ephesians 2:8-9, John 14:6.

KHBC is a Disciple-making church.

We long to see sinners come to Christ for salvation and Christians grow in Christ-likeness. We are committed to training followers of Christ. Matthew 28:19–20, John 13:34–35, 2 Timothy 2:1-2.

KHBC is a Community-reaching church.

We take seriously God's command to be salt and light. We strive to show Christ's love to our neighbors, and we welcome newcomers. Matthew 5:13–16, 1 Peter 3:15, John 5:24.

KHBC is a Missions-driven church.

We are aggressive in our endeavors to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the entire world, both sending and supporting missionaries. 1 Chronicles 16:24, Acts 1:8.

KHBC is a Growing church.

We are growing spiritually, as we mature to be more like Christ. And we are growing numerically, as the Lord "builds His church" on the Hill. 2 Peter 3:18, Ephesians 4:15-16.
