Junior Choir Practice

Begins Wednesday, september 3!

Wednesdays | 6:30-6:50pm

for 1st-6th graders

Junior Choir practices will start up again this Wednesday, September 3, at 6:30pm (before AWANA Clubs). The kids will meet in the same room as last year (Room D-#102, Building D).  Deanna Peterson will direct. (Junior Choir will meet most Wednesdays during the months of September through May).

LIFE (ladies) Ministry Meeting

"Ladies Initiating Friendship & Encouragement"

Thursday, September 4 | 7:00pm

Kathy Hildebrand's home (address posted on flyer in the church foyer)

The ladies ministry is starting up its monthly gatherings in September. Our goal is to provide the ladies of KHBC with spiritual edification, along with encouragement for "life-touching-life" ministry. Kathy Hildebrand will be sharing a devotional about friendship. Light refreshments will be served. Ladies age 16 and older are encouraged to attend.

Kids' Sunday School & Junior Church
Promotion Sunday

Sunday, September 7

On September 7, all kids age 3-years-old through 7th grade should move up (if applicable) to their new Sunday school classes (based on their current grade). All new 1st graders may also begin attending Junior Church (for 1st-4th graders) during the morning service.

Sunday School and Junior Church Locations:

• 3-and-4-year-olds Sunday School Class - Children's Ministry Room (upper level of building A, across from the church office)
• K5 - 2nd Grade Sunday School Class - Room B #107 (building B)
• 3rd - 6th Grade Sunday School Class - Room B #105 (building B)
• Youth Group Sunday School Class (7th - 12th graders) - Youth Room (upper level of building A)
• Junior Church (1st - 4th graders)- Kids are dismissed to the parlor (lower level of building A, across from the elevator) during the morning service just before the sermon begins. Parents may pick them up from the parlor after the service.

Lunchroom (Building C)

Pizza lunch will be served

Jason Kokenzie will meet with all youth group parents in the lunchroom on September 7 following the morning service. This meeting is used to lay out the vision for the upcoming year. Parents will receive the Youth Group calendar, and sign-ups for this year's Food, Fun, Fellowship (FFF) events will be opened. Please plan to attend!

Potluck (Lunchroom)

We will have our monthly purpose groups meeting on Sunday, September 14 at 5:00pm, after which we will all join together at 6:00pm in the lunchroom (building C) for a Praise & Potluck. We ask everyone to bring a dish to share, and the church will provide the beverages. Food may be dropped off in the lunchroom prior to the purpose groups meeting. Please sign up in the foyer if you plan to attend.

Senior Adult Ministry (SAM) Lunch

If you are 60 and up, we invite you to join the SAM Lunch in September! If you plan to attend, please sign up in the church foyer.

AWANA CLUBs

College & Career Bible Study

We are studying the book of Philippians and the joy we have in Christ. We are very excited to grow together. A lot of you may already have plans, but we would love for you to be able to attend even some of the weeks if you can!
